Changelog

Announce what's new, and let users know their feedback shipped

The changelog is where you announce updates. Each post can link the feedback it delivers, so the users who asked for it hear about it.

Write a post

Open Changelog in the sidebar and create a post:

  • Title and an optional featured image (JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 4MB).
  • Content: type / for headings, lists, to-dos, quotes, code, and YouTube or X embeds. Paste or drop images straight in. Select text to format it, add links, or Ask AI to improve the writing, fix grammar, or make it shorter or longer.
  • Link feedback: the posts this update delivers. They show under Related Feedback on the published post.

Save as Draft to keep working on it privately, then Publish. You can Unpublish a post later.

Tell voters it shipped

When you click Ship & Notify on a feedback post, choose how its voters hear about it:

  • Notify voters now: they're emailed right away.
  • Create a new changelog draft: a draft titled after the post, with the post already linked.
  • Add to an existing changelog: link it to a draft you're writing.

With a draft, the voter emails wait until you publish it, so everyone gets one email with a link to the full announcement. Publishing also ships any linked feedback that isn't shipped yet.

On your public board

Published posts appear in your board's Changelog, with the latest one in a What's new pop-up. Readers can like and share posts (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, or copy the link) and see the related feedback. Turn off Show changelog analytics in Settings → Board to hide view and like counts.

New posts can also be announced in Slack and Discord automatically.
